Your insulation can deliver the three huge benefits of the best possible living environment for your family, secondly, significant cost savings – with the work paying for itself over a surprisingly short period – and thirdly, of course, vital energy efficiency for our planet.
We use a four-stage insulation model, with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) insulation board being the first, waterproofing primer the second, glass fibre mesh and fixing anchor comprising the third, and the last being the render finish.
At Nulook, we use a full silicon render finish, because it is durable, weather-resistant, flexible, lightweight, comes in a huge variety of colours, and stays clean far longer than the other options.
We use a “thin coat system,” meaning that the total render finish is between just 6 and 10 cm.
How We Work With You
After an initial phone discussion to assess your needs (and for you to assess us!), we meet in person at your property to measure up and talk through your requirements in more detail. At that point, we can advise you of any grants that may be on offer, and any dependencies – it may be that it would make sense to have the loft insulated; or it could be that you would need a room ventilated.
We would then send through a detailed quote on email. This would include a full schedule of works and a calculation of how long it would take the work to pay for itself through energy savings. This quote would remain fixed unless we discovered something untoward in the course of the project.
During the project, you would always have access to the project manager, Paul or Gareth, who would in any case perform regular site visits. We pride ourselves that all of our fitters work in a very clean and congenial way, ensuring that the site is as clean and tidy as possible at all times (floors protected, windows covered, etc.), and that our work causes you the minimum of noise or disruption.
